Can I sign up for a label's promo list?

Yes! When a label sends you a promo through Trackdrop, they're inviting you to their promo list. This is how you’ll be able to receive new music directly to your inbox in future promos. Here's everything you need to know.

Receiving the first promo from a label

The very first time a label adds you to their list and sends you a promo, you'll receive an invitation email rather than a standard promo. It will look something like this:

Click the I want to receive new promos button to confirm your place on the promo list and unlock the promo immediately. This will also opt you in to receive future promos from this sender. 

Alternatively, click Don’t send me promos if you'd prefer not to receive notifications about releases from this label.

Accessing the promo content

Each time you open a promo link from a new browser or device, Trackdrop will ask you to verify your email address first. This protects the music from being shared with people it wasn't sent to.

When you click a promo link, you'll land on a page that says:

A separate email will be sent to you automatically with a 6-digit code. The subject line will be:

“Confirm your email address to access content”

Step 1: Check your inbox for the verification email.
Step 2: Either click the link in the email, or enter the 6-digit code on the promo page.
Step 3: Once verified, the promo will unlock and you'll have full access.

If the email doesn't arrive, click "Resend email" on the verification page.

Unsubscribing from a promo list

You can leave a label's promo list at any time. Every promo email includes an unsubscribe link in the footer:

You are subscribed to the [Label Name] mailing list on Trackdrop. If you no longer want to receive these emails, unsubscribe here.

To unsubscribe:

Step 1: Click "here" in the footer of any promo email.
Step 2: You'll land on an unsubscribe page. Optionally select a reason (e.g. "The promos aren't relevant to me", "I'm getting too many emails").
Step 3: Click "Unsubscribe from [Label Name]" to confirm.

Changed your mind? No problem. After unsubscribing you'll see:

You are now unsubscribed from the [Label Name] mailing list. You can rejoin this mailing list if you change your mind.

Click "rejoin this mailing list" and you'll be resubscribed immediately.

Privacy

When you confirm your place on a promo list, you'll only receive emails from that specific label. You won't be subscribed to anything else. As noted in the confirmation email:

You won't be subscribed to anything other than the emails [Label Name] will send to you. You can opt out anytime.

I haven’t receive a promo list invite yet

Promo lists are managed by the labels themselves. If you’d like to be added to a promo list, we recommend reaching out to them directly to ask to be notified of new releases, or to update your contact details. 

If you believe you should have been sent a promo, please check your spam or trash folders in case the message has been misidentified by your email provider. Make sure to mark it as ‘safe’ to make sure future emails from release@trackdrop.com are delivered to your inbox!
