Mixcloud Promos
What happens after you send to Mixcloud DJs
Once you click ‘Publish’, your promo starts being sent out via the channels you selected.
Your promo might be viewed at different times depending on the channels you’ve selected:
Mailing list:
Promos sent directly to your Trackdrop contacts are queued to be sent shortly after you click ‘Publish’.

Public promo page:
You’re in control of how and when you share the link, so recipients will start viewing it after you’ve shared this with them, eg. via your social channels.

Mixcloud:
Sends via Mixcloud are subject to a content review. We aim to complete this within one working day.

Content review
Before a Mixcloud promo reaches DJs, it goes through our content review process. We review promos carefully to make sure they meet our guidelines. Reviews typically take under one working day.
While your promo is being reviewed, it shows an In review badge, and the Mixcloud tab says "Mixcloud promo in review".
Once your promo has been reviewed, you’ll receive an email to let you know the outcome.
If your promo is approved
Delivery to DJs goes ahead. You will see an email saying "Your send has been approved".
Delivery happens gradually. You can watch the results build up on your promo page over the coming days.
Your promo shows Send in progress until delivery is confirmed, then Sent.
NB: The approval email goes to the owner of your organisation, unless they have turned off send confirmation emails.
If your promo is not approved
A promo may not be approved if, for example, it:
is not a music track
contains offensive content
has misleading metadata
looks like spam
raises a rights concern
has a technical quality issue
does not meet our guidelines for another reason
If this happens:
You’ll receive an email saying "Your send was not approved". It explains that the send was reviewed and cannot be delivered because it does not comply with the Trackdrop terms and conditions.
Nothing is sent to DJs and you are not charged.
If Mixcloud was your only channel, your promo goes back to drafts so you can edit it. Publishing it again starts a new review.
Your promo may still be available via other channels.
